We’re proud to announce that Pavement Technical Solutions (PTS) has been officially awarded the Commonwealth of Virginia Statewide Airports Pavement Management Study 2025 — a significant milestone that underscores our commitment to advancing airport infrastructure across the state.
This project is being led by the Virginia Department of Aviation, with the majority of funding provided through a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). PTS will lead statewide pavement evaluation and management efforts across Virginia’s public-use airports, providing data, analysis, and recommendations that support long-term safety and sustainability for the state’s aviation network.
Every test tells a story — and precision is at the heart of every JILS Gen2 system. From highways to airfields, our team delivers dependable, repeatable results that engineers trust to design and maintain safer, longer-lasting infrastructure. This contract represents another opportunity for PTS to demonstrate the reliability, expertise, and innovation that have become synonymous with our name.
Through this initiative, PTS will:
Conduct statewide pavement condition assessments using our advanced JILS Gen2 technology.
Develop updated pavement management plans for participating airports.
Provide actionable insights that help prioritize maintenance and investment decisions.
Support the Commonwealth and the FAA in ensuring safe, efficient operations across Virginia’s airport system.
Building on a Legacy of Excellence
This contract award reflects years of dedication to pavement engineering excellence and our ongoing collaboration with state and federal transportation partners. We’re proud to continue supporting the aviation community — helping them extend pavement life, optimize budgets, and plan for the future with confidence.
At PTS, we believe that better data drives better decisions. We look forward to delivering a successful outcome for the Virginia Department of Aviation and the FAA, and continuing to set the standard for precision pavement evaluation nationwide.
Congratulations to the entire PTS team on this achievement — your expertise and commitment made this possible.
